This house is located on a horse farm in a rural setting west of Boston.
The project involve the complete renovation of an existing Greek Revival home with a new 2400 sq ft addition that included a family room, kitchen, a new entry and mudroom, and upstairs a new master bedroom, bath and dressing room.
For maximum views of the horse farm surrounding the home, oversized French doors and windows were used and the family room was rotated 30 degrees on its axis. A new octagon connector acts as a pivot between the kitchen and family room and functions to bring light into the interior. Built-ins and a cross-vaulted ceiling add to the formal elegance of the home.
